Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. Her two younger sisters took care of her, however Graham was frequently bullied at schools due to her larger thighs. Graham made headlines again in 2009 as she appeared in a controversial Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned across the globe. When the commercial was taken off YouTube the video had already seen more than 800,000 views. The issue got so out of hand that she appeared to Jay Leno's "The Tonight Show" to talk about it. Graham gained notoriety and became one of most popular plus-size women of today. Grande began acting and singing when she was a young child. The role she won was 13 at Broadway in 2008, then began to appear in small roles in television series. Her role on Victorious which was a Nickelodeon television show in 2010 was her first big breakthrough. The character she played was Cat Valentine, an adolescent attending a performing-arts school. After the sitcom was canceled in 2013, she was a guest in a spin-off series Sam & Cat (2013-14).
